Vile and pompous through and through Yet part of our realm With no idea what they do Forgiveness turned to stone The small cracks of reality Through which alone light shines The subtle that they do not see That space beyond the shrines They can't witness the simplest truth Their facts, different in kind Their world is rendered coarse and crude They have a different mind My heart cries out in brittle pain It does not understand Sometimes it seems it's all in vain They live in foreign land So vast the gulf between us now Opposed to all I've become In farthest divine fairness though I hurt them for where they are from The day must come where we part ways Of that I am quite sure The only question that remains Is whether it'll be somewhat smooth In time, perhaps, their world will shine Just as we glimpse today That day they too shall soar in pain And what's left to do is pray
