Dear readers:
You now can meet yours truly and a few other of your favorite subslackers at the Deimos Station.
This is a slack space1 that features different discussion channels, including one that I called “Enlightenment in dark times” about self-growth, philosophy, and religion. You’ll find me there, as well as on the other channels.
The group started as a simple chat but soon developed a life of its own: we shared links, talked about our substack posts or philosophy or economic theory or history… and just had some fun. It’s a heterodox bunch of people who know how to discuss things in a civilized manner, and who are not just out to defend their sacred cows.
And you can now be part of it!
The group is now open for paid subscribers, so if you are eager to join the party, subscribe or upgrade here:
I will then send you an invitation to join the slack asap.
You can also get access by becoming a paid subscriber of the following substacks—whether you choose to support me or one of the others (or a few of us!) doesn’t matter: you’ll meet us all on the Slack.
My friend
from Political Poneroloy, on whose Mind Matters show I regularly appear. He’s an expert on the psychology of evil, and a walking library to boot. → His substack- , the warrior-poet from Barsoom, who will always surprise you and possibly find a way to offend you with an “unexpected” take on history, metaphysics, or science-fiction. → His substack
- , a science-based fitness guru in the US army who not only defends American virtues but seeks enlightenment as an atheist, which is cool. → His substack.
- , a very insightful writer who is not afraid to discuss his own path towards growth and understanding—a path from which you can learn a lot. → His substack
- , who is not only into metaphysics and tech, but uses his insights to fight AIs and robots. His philosophical bullying of ChatGPT is not to be missed! → His substack
- , an economist who recently published a paper about administrative bloating at the universities and how many more professorships would be possible if they had less ideological enforcers on the payroll. → His substack
Last but certainly not least,
, the expert on social dynamics, pop culture guru, and social power house. → His substack
Ready to join the club? You know what to do!
Of course, as a paid subscriber to LucTalks, you will also have full access to the archive and my paid-only posts, such as:
Thank you for your support, and see you at the Deimos Station!
For the boomers, tech-averse, and those with real jobs: Slack is sort of an organized chat thingie you can use in your browser or as an app.
"and possibly find a way to offend"
Possibly? I'm offended.
I got here via Postcards from Barsoom, and investigated several of the conduits to the Slack channel. You, my friend, are without question the most interesting of the lot. Be on the lookout for input from a late Boomer rationalist libertarian-with-a-small-L female who refused to conform to gender norms but utterly abhors post-modern gender fuckery. JK Rowling without the fuck-you money but with FAA certs for pilot, mechanic, and instructor. And a boyfriend.
